Thought

Fearing God brings obedience to His Word, obedience to His Word puts true instruction in the mouth, true instruction in the mouth brings many to repentance. Knowing God requires fearing God, fearing God moves one to know His Word and to walk in obedience to it. Walking in obedience to the Lord and His Word fills the heart and mouth with true wisdom and instruction so as to turn many from sin to life.

Application

I must fear God; I must know Him through His Word, all of it; I must walk in obedience to all He instructs. Then I will have wisdom and understanding that will help many turn from sin and live by righteousness. The Bible does not merely teach that we are saved by faith in Christ, but it also teaches how those who believe in Him are supposed to live. There is a huge difference between how unbelievers live and how God calls His people to live. I cannot ignore that, I cannot ignore His Word, even if all others turn away, He alone is God and I must walk in fear of Him that leads to honoring Him and doing anything and everything He asks.
