Passage Read: Revelation 9-10
Meditation Verses: 9:20-21

Thought

Mankind was tormented for five months, at which time they looked for death but could not find it. They wanted to die, but God withheld death from them. Then at the next trumpet, God sent an angelic army against them to kill a third of mankind, to grant the desire of a third. Yet in spite of all this, they would not repent of their immortality or worship of demons or anything else. With the Christians gone and all these deaths, global population is cut more than in half, the earth is devastated, but still men refuse to repent and humble themselves before God. How stubborn can they be? There is a reason this generation is the last of this age.

Application

It is not my duty to convert people to believe in Jesus, but to be a witness for Jesus to this generation. I wish that all who hear the Gospel would repent, but some, many are not granted that privilege. My duty is to make men know that Jesus is returning to judge the earth, whether they listen or fail to listen, and only by humbling themselves and turning from their wicked ways to learn from Him how they ought to live, only then can they be forgiven and granted eternal life. Any who refuse to repent, that is on them.
