Thought

It's interesting that God takes responsibility for the mark of leprosy in the house. What about in clothing or on a person? The Lord is sovereign over all and does control or oversee all that happens in the earth. The Israelites were entering the land to possess all the houses and towns and cities, and it's possible that there were houses that He wanted destroyed even in towns that He permitted to remain. That was surely hard then, and it would be hard today to have to tear down a house and rebuild. But if the Lord made clear that the whole house had to be destroyed, then it would have to be destroyed.

Application

To see that all these things are from the Lord to indicate His purpose is good, but hard. He has His purposes and we can only accept His will. If I have to give up everything for Him, I need to give up everything for Him. Even if it means I need to isolate myself from others or tear down my house or burn my favorite clothes.
