Passage Read: Nehemiah 12 - Esther 2 Meditation Verse: Nehemiah 13:26 Thought This is such a wise statement: Solomon for all his wisdom could not resist his foreign wives, but succumbed to their pressure and was led astray from the Lord by them, and through him, the whole nation was led into sin because of his foreign wives. Solomon was the wisest man on earth, yet he was overcome by his foreign wives. If Solomon couldn't resist the influence of his foreign wives, who are any of the rest of us to think we could resist the influence of an unbelieving spouse? That is the height of arrogance!
