Passage Read: 2 Corinthians 4-5
Meditation Verses: 4:2-4

Thought

Knowing that he has received a ministry from God, Paul speaks only what God has revealed. He had no need to deceit or deception or to change the Truth of God to be more acceptable to men. He knows full well that salvation depends on the power of God working in the hearts of men, not on his ability to win someone to accept what he's saying. So he doesn't need to distort the Word of God, but simply present what it actually says. If men refuse to believe, that's on them and Satan. If they believe, that's the work of God. He is just the messenger and must prove faithful to the One who sent him.

Application

The same is true for me: I don't need to make the Word of God more acceptable to people, I just need to present what is recorded and revealed to all. I do not want to emphasize some things over others, but present all things as God has presented them. I don't need to be ashamed of anything God has revealed, because it is all true and I want to faithfully present what He has spoken. And ultimately, I want people to believe because God has worked in their hearts, not because I'm clever and can manipulate people into believing.
