Thought

We can recognize who has be born again by the Father through their actions. If they do what is righteous, which itself is defined by God through the Scriptures, then we can be confident that they are from God. Indeed, I can be confident that I am born of God if I do what the Bible teaches. Anyone who argues about the Bible's clear teachings rather than obeys and practices them, that person is not born of God, even though they attend church regularly or even teach God's Word.

Application

I don't have to be intimidated or afraid of those who claim to speak for God but set aside His teachings. They are not from God, they don't know God or fear Him, so why should I fear them. They are lost and need a warning, but they've no doubt already so seared their conscience that they wouldn't listen to sound rebuke. Surely they've already been rebuked clearly and soundly on their path to their present condition, by the time they stand and boldly preach error, it's already much too late for them. All I can do is warn others against them and their false teachings.
