Thought

While this is speaking specifically of Jesus, this pattern and principle is consistent with God's rewarding nature. Those who love righteousness and hate wickedness are rewarded with high rank and responsibility in God's kingdom. No one will be higher than Jesus, but anyone can aspire to greatness in His kingdom. The more we love and live out God's righteousness and hate and resist man's wickedness, the higher place in eternity God will grant to us.

Application

The more I conform to the likeness of Christ and the more I put off the likeness of men, the greater reward and rank await me in Christ's kingdom and beyond. The more I live by God's Word and ways, the more responsibility He can entrust to me in eternity.
