Passage Read: Isaiah 11-14
Meditation Verses: 14:1-2

Thought

Part of the promise to Israel is to restore them to their land, to gather them from all the nations. In fact, the nations shall bring them back to their homeland, delivering them back to their homes. And many of those other nations will join themselves to Israel, especially their enemies will be made their slaves, so that Israel possesses their former captors as captives. The Lord will rule over the nations from Zion and exalt Israel over all other people. He will pay back to Israel all they have suffered at the hand of others by making all those others to be their slaves.

Application

As a believer in Jesus, I have already bound myself to Israel, I am already clinging to the house of Jacob. I should already be learning how to serve the Lord and His people, as a true slave with no rights whatsoever, because that will be my place, either in the land of Israel or elsewhere, serving in the capacity that the Lord appoints for me, whether high or low, important or insignificant. The more willingly I give myself to the Lord now, the more I give to Him now, surely the more responsibility He will entrust to me then. The more faithful I am to Him now, the more He will be able to trust me then.
