Passage Read: Isaiah 51-54
Meditation Verses: 51:7-8

Thought

I must not fear the mocking or insults of men, because those who are unwilling to humble themselves before the Lord will be doomed to destruction. They may insult believers now, but they will perish with none to save.

Application

I don't need to fear identifying as a Christian. Just doing that may make people uncomfortable, but I don't need to be afraid of that. It is their own sin and refusal to repent that makes them uncomfortable; I need to be a bridge through which they could come to repentance. I don't want to belittle or insult them, even if they insult me. Instead I want to make sure they know I don't reject them, but that I genuinely care about what is best for them.
