Thought

God knows full well who is righteous and who is wicked. Though both recite His words and claim loyalty and love, He sees who walks in obedience and who ignores His Word. That is the distinction between the righteous and the wicked: The righteous fear God and so do what He asks; the wicked have no fear of God and so do not obey His Word, though he talks a good game and throws in some token works.

Application

No one can fool the Lord; anyone who thinks they are fooling the Lord are only deceiving themselves. The Lord sees the heart and He sees what flows out of the heart. The man who knows what God says, what He desires, but doesn't do it, he is in grave trouble, for he will be judged by what he knew and refused to do.
