Passage Read: Joshua 10-13

Thought

Joshua and the Israelites were commissioned by God to go and take the land. Here God reminds Joshua that he has no need to be afraid of a large number of kings coming against them, because it is God's will that they be defeated, so they will not be able to withstand the Israelites. And Joshua goes in a rush and scatters them! Joshua and the Israelites learned the lesson of Ai, they failed to check with God in regard to the Gibeonites, but the people were following the Lord's commands, so He would bless their efforts.

Application

God has given a new command, to go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel. That is His will and those are His marching orders. If we join in the mission, He will be with us. He may not grant us fruit, but He will make a name for Himself, and all nations will be warned. Of course, the more people we share with, the more chance of leading someone to faith in Christ. This is something He will be with us in. This is something no one will be able to stand against us in. If I walk in obedience to Him, He will help me reach many with the Gospel.
