Passage Read: Acts 18-19
Meditation Verse: 18:6
Thought
Paul thought of his ministry in the same way Ezekiel was taught his. He was a watchman and expected to warn everyone he could. He began with Jews, wherever he went, but turned to Gentiles when the Jews would have no more of him. Yet when he departed from them, he could say with a clear conscience that he had spoken the truth, sufficient for salvation, to them, and that he was clear of any bloodguilt on their behalf. It was they who were rejecting salvation. He had given them the news and they refused it.
Application
How can I do likewise, so that no one who meets me can ever walk away not knowing how to be saved? It is not every context that lends itself to conversation, but neither am I adept at introducing the topic. If I were to speak in a marketplace, what would that look like? What would I say and how would I say it? Lord, help me speak, please. Help me have real concern and compassion on everyone I meet.
