Thought

The world must learn that Jesus does exactly what the Father commands. Except the lesson the world took away was that Jesus was a nobody. He was easy to capture, condemn and kill. And then they were done with Him. They didn't understand that He was doing everything His Father desired. They will eventually understand those things, especially when Jesus returns to reign in power. But the Lord God is teaching His lessons even if no one understands, even if no one will understand until He comes in power.

Application

Sadly, the are many lessons the world, and even many believers, won't understand until Jesus returns. But by then it will be too late. There will be no room for repentance. Salvation is by faith and without faith it is impossible to please the Lord; without faith, it's impossible to obey Him. But a testimony about Him still must be proclaimed, even if no one will believe. The day will come when all who have spoken in His behalf, spoken His Truth, will be justified, will be proved right. Then the world will understand all the lessons they were taught but refused to receive or believe. The primary purpose of preaching is not conversion but testimony. Conversion is desired, but out of the my control.
