Thought

This is an encouraging word. As long as my desires are in line with righteousness, with the will of the Lord, they will be granted. The righteous receive what they desire because they do the will of the Lord, so of course they desire things He desires. The more I walk in God's ways, the more I will see my desires granted, because my desires change and conform to the things God cares about and desires to give.

Application

There are things I long for that I know are the kind of things God desires. I can't be sure that He intends to grant them to everyone I desire them for, but I know He does require these things for many people and will do them for those He has chosen. So while I can't be sure that He will grant my desire for all the people I want, I know He will grant it for some, and that gives me courage to continue to desire it.
