Thought

If the Lord doesn't want a thing accomplished, those who work at it do so in vain. They may make progress, may even complete it, but it will continually be under threat of overthrow. They'll have to watch over it like a hawk, they'll have to continually labor over it to protect it. But if God supports the project, those who work at it can do so in peace, can lie down and sleep at night, because the Lord will protect and prosper it.

Application

This is a truth I would love to have full grasp of. I would love for my mind and body to believe this through and through, and be wholly submitted to whatever outcome the Lord desires. It is true, no matter what I choose to believe, that those projects that the Lord supports will be blessed and protected by Him, whether the worker is anxious about it or not. And it is true that no amount of anxiety or effort can ensure and preserve a project He opposes. Lord, help me get this, and know and accept Your will for all the things and projects we have in hand.
