Thought
God raised up Jesus and sent Him to bless all people by turning every one of them from their evil ways! That is why God sent Jesus. That's why Jesus had to die and be raised to life again. The purpose was to turn every one of us from our wicked ways—that is the blessing of God, that is the Good News! So the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a Gospel of repentance and new, righteous living. A person is not saved if they claim to believe in Jesus but do not also turn away from wickedness to learn and live in righteousness. To do good to others, to bless them is to call them to turn away from wicked deeds and teach them to do righteous deeds, to live righteously.
Application
I am no blessing to anyone if I do not call them to turn from their evil deeds and to learn what God calls righteousness and do it by faith in Jesus Christ. Doing good to others means calling them to repentance. Blessing others means calling them to turn away from wickedness and to righteousness. That is the purpose and goal of God through the Gospel! That is the purpose and goal I need to have in sharing the Gospel.
