Passage Read: Philippians 1-2
Meditation Verses: 2:14-15
Thought
This is a hard command, but one I need to take to heart. "Do all things" means everything. There are not some things that are alright to grumble or complain through. There are not some things in which it is acceptable to dispute. I need to do all things without arguing, complaining or grumbling. Ideally, I learn to do even the hard and unpleasant things with grace and gratitude. But apparently, if I do all things without grumbling to disputing, I will begin to prove myself blameless and pure, and I will appear as lights in the face of the world which still grumbles and disputes at the prospect of unpleasant tasks.
Application
Yesterday, there were tasks where I did plenty of grumbling and complaining and even disputing. Today, I need to face those same tasks without the grumbling, complaining or disputing. Whatever comes, I need to accept that it comes through the hand of God. He has allowed it; I need to accept it from Him as a task I need to complete, no matter how unpleasant.
