Passage Read: Psalm 91-94
Meditation Verses: 94:3-6

Thought

How long, O Lord, will the wicked continue without rebuke, without judgment? How long will they continue to do their wicked things and harm those around them? When will You judge them? When will You cast them from the earth and let those who love goodness live in peace? When I ask that, I have to wonder, am I truly counted among those who do what is right, or would I be caught up with the wicked in Your judgment? The psalmist had no such fear, and he didn't have the Gospel, a new nature or the Holy Spirit living in him! Judgment was given to men to exercise upon the earth. Some of us look to God because those we asked to judge are not doing their job very well. The wicked, on the other hand, delight in their wickedness because no one rebukes them; in fact, more want to join them!

Application

How long will the wicked continue to hurt and kill the rest of us? As long as our communities refuse to judge them. As long as we refuse to warn them of God's final judgment and urge them to repent. I can and should cry out to God for relief from the wicked, but God does not delight in the death of the wicked; He prefers that they repent and live. If I really want to get in step with God, I need to bring the Gospel to them.
