Thought
David has suffered so many things, and yet through it all, he has confidence to plead with God for deliverance and preservation because he is a godly man. He is a godly man because he trusts in You. And despite what he suffers, he doesn't give up his faith in God, but cries out to Him all day long for relief.
Application
I know I should cry out to God for relief all day long. I wish I could claim to be a godly man; I need to at least trust in the Lord alone. In truth, only He can take away my affliction and trouble. If I don't trust in Him, I have no hope.
