Thought
Moses wasn't just given specifications for each element of the Tabernacle, he was shown a pattern for each item, and he was expected to follow the pattern with the specifications given. He didn't have a lot of freedom of interpretation, but was supposed to make things exactly like the things he saw on the mountain. There are details he saw that likely weren't captured by his written record, so we're left to guess or remain unaware of them. Moses didn't have to guess, but was required to follow the pattern shown to him.
Application
This reminds me that I'm not free to make Christianity what I want it to be, but I'm expected to be the kind of Christian as described by Scripture. Jesus is the model I'm supposed to recreate, to the best of my understanding. The letters of the apostles add details and fill in gaps. I need to conform my life to all that God has revealed, not just those thing I find easy or convenient. I need to account for everything written. If I distort what God has shown in the Scriptures, He will not be pleased and I'll be partner in leading others astray.
