Thought
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus, and He commands His disciples to make more disciples, baptizing them and teaching them to obey everything He commanded them, for He resides with those who do so. That should give every one of us great confidence to teach God's Word in truth and faithfulness. Jesus is with us, and by His authority, He will make those whom He is calling to also receive everything we teach from Him. We don't need to adjust anything in order to make it more palatable or acceptable, as if to draw more in. We're more likely to make false converts by operating from our own wisdom and authority. That benefits no one, and becomes a stumbling block to more people.
Application
I can and should boldly teach what Jesus commanded, as well as obey it myself, faithfully, because He has power and authority to open hearts to receive the truth. And that's what I want: genuine believers who believe because of the power of God, not my own cleverness. So if I fear that the truth of God's Word will hinder people from believing, that's exactly what I want! Even Jesus spoke in parables so that people would be hearing but never understanding. Only those to whom the Father reveals the Son will be able to believe, and that's how I should want it.
