Thought
Great men and small, all together are nothing. Success is not with the learned or exalted, nor is it with the small and crafty. Success lies with the Lord. Only He has power to make what is impossible possible, what is unseen seen. Only He has power to make something from nothing. My hope must not be in men, but in God. And I must trust that God will provide what is needed for those who please Him. He will not abandon them and He will not let them languish who please and honor Him in truth. Though men oppose them, though men refuse to help, none of that matters, for the approval of man is meaningless. Only the approval of God brings success.
Application
As we seek to honor the Lord with something new and something old, if He is pleased with it, we can trust Him to provide. If He is not pleased, He can withhold His blessing, and we should abandon it quickly. I need to seek His blessing and trust in His encouragement and guidance. If He is in it, He will show it, and if He's not in it, He will show that too. Only let me desire most to do His will rather than my own.
